German mobilezone subsidiary launches new brand for mobile communications hardware & connectivity products

The German mobilezone subsidiary powwow launches Pricezilla, a new brand for mobile communications and connectivity products. Pricezilla offers products from various manufacturers at attractive prices – with immediate purchase or flexible interest-free financing options. With the new brand, mobilezone Deutschland GmbH intends to further advance its online strategy and reach new customer groups.

The mobilezone subsidiary powwow has expanded its portfolio by launching the new brand Pricezilla at the end of November. The brand focuses on products related to mobile communications and connectivity. Customers benefit from maximum purchasing flexibility by being able to choose whether to purchase each product directly or to finance it through interest-free instalments. You can flexibly determine the term of the contract: choose from a 6, 12, 18 or 24-month instalment plan.

With the new brand, mobilezone is further strengthening its online strategy in Germany. Markus Bernhard, CEO of the mobilezone group says: “We are already number 1 in the indirect online business for contract-based mobile communications offers in Germany. With the Pricezilla brand, we are taking our successful online strategy to the next level.”

With the launch of Pricezilla the mobilezone subsidiary powwow is creating an extension to the established brands Sparhandy and Deinhandy, as well as the TV channel Handystar. These brands focus on the marketing of subscription products, i.e. bundles consisting of smartphones including a subscription, as well as mobile and fixed network tariffs. Wilke Stroman, Co-CEO of powwow says: "With our newest brand, Pricezilla, we are now offering an attractive alternative for those customers who prefer to purchase their hardware without a mobile subscription and are looking for additional connectivity products such as tablets, wearables, bluetooth speakers, headphones, earbuds and airpods, or accessories such as plugs and cables, docking stations, smartphone cases and protective films.” Powwow is expanding its online brand portfolio with this launch and will therefore be able to provide an even more comprehensive range of connectivity products to meet the needs of its customers.

To start with, Pricezilla will focus on selling smartphones from all renowned manufacturers at attractive prices. Over the course of the next few months, the company will then expand the product range to include a comprehensive and innovative connectivity CE offering.
